From conceptualizing the name itself to establishing its now-iconic color palette—a hue that guests consistently rave about—and crafting a logo that’s become a local favorite, we shaped the very essence of this vibrant beachfront experience.
Our Role
Petti Petti Mirissa, part of Oryza Leisure’s expanding portfolio alongside Kent Cottage and other hotels, was envisioned as a standout destination. The owner enlisted Mike Ching to ensure a flawless brand launch, aiming to position Petti Petti tastefully with an unmistakable, tourist-attracting identity for Mirissa’s world-renowned beach. At Design by Ching, we created the overarching Oryza Leisure brand, establishing it as the parent company for multiple hotels across Sri Lanka. We also developed Kent Cottage in Nuwara Eliya and Petti Petti Mirissa, crafting unique naming concepts, vibrant color palettes, typography, and brand personas tailored to their audiences and market dynamics. Our work included establishing their presence on Google Maps and leveraging local context to drive tourism. Our online strategies propelled Petti Petti to 27K+ Instagram followers, earning features in Vogue India and Singapore Airlines as a premier travel destination.
